The Amador Fire Volunteer Firefighter Association, a subsidiary of the Amador County Sheriff’s Foundation, was created in 2025 to support the men and women who dedicated their time volunteering as Firefighters supporting the Amador Fire Protection District. Amador Fire protects 500+ square miles of unincorporated Amador County. Alongside our staff, we rely on a team of 35+ Highly Committed Volunteer Firefighters who train weekly and respond whenever their community needs them. These Volunteer Firefighters aren’t paid, they’re dedicated community members who give up evenings, weekends, and family time to serve and protect their community when called upon.
